Countryside Veterinary Service is one of the few hospitals to see exotic patients in Douglas County. Dr. Tammy Eichmann has had a special interest in exotics since graduation from Veterinary College in 1993. She loves all areas of exotic practice and takes every opportunity to improve her knowledge by focusing her training around exotic practice whenever possible.
Services included for exotics are wing beak and nail care for birds, annual wellness examination and wellness testing, treatment of medical and surgical conditions, reproductive issues with numerous exotic species, and boarding exotic pets under Veterinary supervision.
Some of the exotic patients we see at Countryside are birds (wild and domestic) reptiles, ferrets, rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, mice, hamsters, sugar gliders, chinchillas, hedge hogs, and a number of local wildlife animals who are brought to us by Umpqua Wildlife. As you can imagine, there is never a boring day at Countryside Veterinary Service!
