Countryside Veterinary Service welcomes all breeds of cats and dogs to our practice. Our facility is large enough to allow for comfortable separation between fearful or nervous animals.
We understand that coming to the vet is not always a fun experience for your dog. You may notice during your visit that our staff is offering many types of treats to your dog, especially cheese wiz! This is because most dogs respond well to food, and treats often will distract your dog or puppy from the more uncomfortable parts of the visit. In some instances medications are used in advance of the veterinary visit to help your dog be more relaxed during the exam or procedure. If you feel your pet would do best with medications before your visit, ask a team member to help facilitate this.
Occasionally, cats need medications prior to visits, but we have found that we can use other drug free approaches to calm cats during most visits.
Services that we offer to dogs and cats include but are not limited to: spaying, c-section, neutering, orthopedic surgery and fracture repair, dentistry, hospitalization for serious medical issues like parvo, or pancreatitis, management of diabetes, heart disease, and other chronic diseases, management of eye and ear conditions, tumor removals and biopsies, management of chronic allergies, help with reproductive issues, wellness visits and vaccinations, and grooming and boarding.
In the event that your pet has a serious medical or surgical condition that would best be served by a specialist, we will facilitate the search to find the best veterinary specialist to help your pet.
It is common for cats and dogs to have dental procedures performed at our hospital. If you have ever wondered what happens when a pet has a dental, check out this video “Murphy’s Day At The Dentist”. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yJw2mfBt19k&feature=share
